A photograph showing an Anglo-Saxon skeleton identified by Pre-Construct Archaeology unearthed by Robin Claringbould and Son at the Ash Grove affordable development site, which lies at the rear of Townsend Farm off Station Road. It was discovered whilst digging a trench for mains services in Summer 2004.
