St Margaret's Bay from Ness Point. late 1950s
This view from The Ness begins to show cliff erosion there. The beach looks quite park like with the trees. Obviously this area has been cleared of all the war time debris and the new sea defence wall is in place with new groynes to control the movement of shingle.
The properties at the NE end of the beach and the radar installation on the cliff, to the left of The Dover Patrol Memorial, date this to the end of the 1950’s. The Granville Hotel is prominent middle left.
