Typescript extract from Col. Cavanagh’s Scrap Book January 1922, about donation by Col. Temple of a mid-19th century watercolour of the interior of the church at St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The original, attributed to William Burgess c1840, shows the nave and chancel in its pre-restoration state and is now in Canterbury Cathedral Archive. A full colour copy now hangs in the north aisle of the church.
