Beechin and Eglinton Cottages in the Bay with five people. c1907
Black and white photograph mounted on card which is marked ‘Beechin and Eglinton Cottages’. Photograph shows the cottages with cliff face behind. There are four figures alongside a picket fence with another figure at an upstairs open window.
The girl seated on the fence is Daisy Watts who attended Penlee School in the Droveway.
Eglinton Cottage, on the right, is said to have been built from the timber salvaged from the ‘The Earl of Eglinton’ wrecked in the Bay in 1860.
Beechin Cottage, on the left, is said to have been the first Coastguard Cottage in the Bay.
Thought to have been taken about 1907.
