Interior of St Margaret's Church facing east. dated 1909.
A sepia postcard of the chancel of St Margaret’s Church in the village of St Margaret’s at Cliffe. The card is numbered 1696 in the ‘Victoria Series’ and is postmarked Whitstable 3 August, year not visible, but the writer dated the card ‘2.8.09’.
A further reference to the date is the message which mentions the writer going aboard a battleship off Deal, presumably on a ‘show the flag’ visit. The fleet were known to be at the Spithead Review for 31 July1909.
