A series of photographs taken 26 April 2003 showing excavations underway by Glasgow University diggers for a BBC2 TV documentary ‘Two men in a Trench’. The site being excavated was where the Cross Channel gun ‘Winnie’ and associated buildings were during WW2, and lies off the Dover Road at Westcliffe.
