From the Gordon Denoon album this photograph taken in 1945 depicts Gordon’s son, Ian, standing in the ruins of what was the Excelsior Tea Rooms.
The view is from the east end of the Bay looking towards the west. Behind the wall Ian is standing in front of, can be seen the ruins of Eglinton Cottage and Beechin Cottage and further behind, in the top left, by Graciosca, The Snuggery and Beachaven (Adcock’s Villas)
