Battle of Trafalgar Bi-centenary Competition at St Margaret's Primary School

On the 6th September 2005, Richard Bidgood and Malcolm Shepherd of the local History Society attended the St Margaret’s Primary School to give a talk with maritime aids including a model of HMS Victory about the Battle of Trafalgar and how it unfolded.

The two speakers returned on the 11th October to judge the results of the competition set about Nelson and Trafalgar and to choose 4 prize winners from each class – not an easy task.

The whole event was much enjoyed by all.
