HMS Nubian's remains (2)
HMS Nubian, as part of the Dover patrol, was torpedoed in 1916 during battle with German torpedo boats and driven ashore under the cliffs at St Margaret’s Bay. The afterpart of the ship was salvaged but the rest of the forepart left under the cliffs.
Both photographs are thought to show tubes from the forward boiler room of HMS Nubian.
