HMS Nubian's remains (1)
HMS Nubian as part of the Dover Patrol was torpedoed in 1916 during battle with German torpedo boats and driven under the cliffs at St Margaret’s Bay. The afterpart of the ship was salvaged but the rest of the forepart left under the cliffs.
The first photograph is taken to be the Nubian’s bow centre plates. The second photograph is taken to be the Nubian’s hull plates with St Margaret’s Bay in the background.
