Black and white photograph of the farmer’s daughter, Jean Weir, sitting in the cockpit of the aircraft. On the back of the photograph is written ‘Jean Weir sitting in Messerschmitt 109 aircraft. Forced down by a Hurricane of 52 Sqn on 24 August 1940. Pilot was Fritz Beeck, he was taken prisoner’.
