There is no other information on this small wooden cross other than these names.  The burial records of St Margaret of Antioch church show a Fanny Louisa Finnis of 2 Myrtle Cottages [Chapel Lane], who died aged 69 on 24 February 1949 and a Henry Woodcock Finnis, also of 2 Myrtle Cottages, who died aged 81 on 14 December 1950.  The original names would appear to have been over-painted at some time.

  • This is my paternal great grandparents,my grandmother and her siblings were all born in the village I believe.I am researching my paternal side of the family and will send you photographs in due course of the family.My paternal aunt lived in the village until her death,her name was Helen Finnis.
