A series of photographs of sea bathers on the beach at St Margaret’s Bay with the ruins of the village in the Bay as a backdrop.
In the background of the first photograph can be seen the ruined Beechin and Egglinton Cottages on the left , the Excelsior Tea Rooms followed by the Bay Hotel on the right.
The second photograph gives a closer view of the Excelsior Tea Rooms and the Bay Hotel.
The third photograph shows the concrete ramp and the ironwork forming part of the beach wartime defences behind which can be seen the ruins of Adcock’s Villas
The fifth photograph is of Gordon Denoon with his wife Tommie. In the background are the ruins of Adcock’s Villas
The group in the sixth photograph are identified as Mrs Engholm, Norah, David and George Ebbels, Valerie, Ian and Mary (Denoon). Also Rip (the Denoon’s dog). In the background (centre) Tommie talks to Mrs Carr.
The final photograph is a montage of three photographs of Gordon Denoon’s children
