Extract of an interview with the Rev John Winn about a car accident involving the Winn family taxi business in about 1914.
Sydney Winn was driving a fare to Martin Mill station when he was hit by another car driven by an Army Officer.
The passenger in the taxi was said to have been thrown through the canvas roof of the taxi into the field with his bowler hat jammed over his ears.
