Spot The Difference! Two general views of St Margaret's Bay.
Two colour postcards of St Margaret’s Bay.
Notice that In most respects the two photographs are identical. For instance the parked cars in the Bay and the position of the people strolling on the promenade are the same.
However in the top photograph the radar scanner and also the Dover Patrol Memorial can be seen whereas in the second photograph both have been removed. An early example of airbrushing ? Note also the two skies are different.
Top postcard published by Valentine & Sons Ltd of Dundee and London. The second postcard one of Charles Skilton’s Postcard Series published by Charles Skilton & Fry Ltd of London and Edinburgh.
Thought to be early 1960s
