St Margaret's Bay from The Leas. c1928
From the Gordon Denoon album.
Gordon’s note with the photograph reads:
‘An interesting view of the Bay about 1928 – not too many people or cars. It shows how far one had to swim to the raft at high tide. Also seen is the double row of bathing tents which my family patronized many, many times. They belonged to ‘Old Jim’, (Jim Atkins) the boatman’.
