These photographs show the motor cruiser Maral ashore on the rocks off St Margaret’s Bay in foggy conditions. The Dover lifeboat City of London II is standing by. The Dover Coastguard also has a presence in the Bay. The Maral was eventually refloated and towed to Dover Harbour where she was lifted out for inspection and repairs to her rudders and propellers. The accident occurred on 30 April 2005.
