Lower South Foreland Lighthouse. c1900
Photocopy of a postcard of the Lower South Foreland Lighthouse and Keeper’s cottage with four children sitting outside the gate in Edwardian clothes.
This lighthouse was closed in 1904 and sold to a Mr James Neale, a London architect, who turned it into a private residence. A stipulation was made by the vendors, Trinity House, that unless veiled by curtains no lights could be lit in the lantern.
