A press cutting of 29th March 1907 entitled ‘ St Margaret’s at Cliffe Golf Club. New Club House and extended links. Completion of 18 hole course’. It notes that the first competition to be played on the enlarged course on Easter Saturday will be for the Cundell Silver Bowl. Life Members to pay £25 down. Cost of clubhouse £1500 was loaned by Walter Emden. Tennis lawns and a bowling green are under construction. 60 acres of extra land are leased, making a total acreage of 130, over which the club has golfing rights. Other names mentioned are Bomford, Adcock, Hawkes, W Heath. Special 1st Class rail tickets from London available.
