Second Cross-Channel Flight by Jacques de Lesseps, 1910
‘Flight’ magazine article from 28 May 1910 containing a photograph of the second cross-channel flight by M Jacques de Lesseps at Dover. De Lesseps landed near Wanstone Farm in St Margaret’s frightening a nearby farm labourer in a field. The two ladies of the house made De Lesseps a cup of tea.
The article also features Charles Roll’s preparations to be the first Briton to complete the same journey.
