This black and white photograph of St Margaret’s Bay shows the Bay properties with the Green Man in mid foreground barely visible among the trees. There are boats drawn up in front of this property.
South Sands House, then the Hermitage, is on the extreme left with the tall flagpole.
There is little foliage along the top of the hill at this time and the property development is scattered along Granville Road and The Droveway. The view looks NE and was taken in the early 1900s.
