St Margaret's Bay from Ness Point. late 1800s
This view of the village in the Bay looks NE and shows some of the extensive small holding belonging to The Green Man left foreground.
The cable hut carrying the telegraph cable from France is dead centre.
This view shows the Coastguard cottages, apparently still in use and it predates the Bay Hotel built at the end of the beach which would date it to about 1880.
The Coastguards moved to new purpose built premises on Bay Hill in 1884.
