Cliffe Place, Station Road

Known to many villagers as ‘the house in the dip’, Cliffe Place has, for a long time, been the focus of some curiosity. In 2018, the new owners of the property donated the deeds and associated papers to St Margaret’s History Society and subsequent research revealed a history going back to the eighteenth century with a succession of owners and tenants with interesting stories to tell.
