This article concerns a cargo vessel The Falcon ablaze in the English Channel. 25 October 1926.
The crew left the vessel in their own boat and were picked up by the ss Elswick House and then transferred to the Ramsgate lifeboat. The Falcon was taken in tow by the Dover tug Lady Brassey. However, flames burnt through the tow rope and The Falcon was driven ashore at Langdon Stairs by a strong gale and broke up.
