4017: Photocopy of an unidentified press cutting dated 19 February 1965 – ‘Ancient burial site found’ relating to a site at the top of Bay Hill, St Margaret’s and the finds made there.
4016: Photocopy of an unidentified press cutting dated 10 August 1934 – ‘Where the Ninth Wave Breaks’ which refers to a [Dover] Museum Council meeting relating to finds of ancient weapons and skeletons found at St Margaret’s donated to [Dover] Museum by Miss Kearon on whose land they were found. [36/38 The Droveway].
4015: Photocopy of an unidentified press cutting dated 10 August 1934 – ‘Early Iron Age site near Deal’ which repeats the text of a ‘communication’ sent by Mr W P D Stebbing to The Times newspaper the previous Tuesday. It gives details of the find results from a development by the First National Housing Trust and previous digs relating to circular entrenchment on land on the seaward slope of the chalk ridge in the parish.
