St Margaret's Bay from Ness Point. 1948
This photograph taken from Ness Point looking NE across the Bay, was commissioned by the National Geographic Magazine and appeared in their April 1948 copy.
From this distance, the houses in the Bay look relatively unscathed although they are badly damaged. The Granville Hotel, mid – left, stands proudly ready for use once more, and the Dover Patrol Memorial stands defiant mid – right.
