Flood water in the High Street. December 1910
Flooding at the junction of High Street and Well Lane after heavy rain. Flooding here was frequent until drainage was improved.
The four ‘fishermen’ in the photograh from left to right, are:-
Mr B Madge (owner of the shop at right of picture)
Sidney Houghton (owner of Beehive Stores)
B. Heath (golfer who worked at the local links) and
T Knobb (local postman)
The view is of the High Street towards the church
