St Margaret’s Church taken from the south west c1901. The picket fence in the foreground forms the boundary of a field in Well Lane. The churchyard boundary wall (as it then was) is just visible through a gap in the hedge. Handwritten text on reverse of photograph reads ‘From album of J H Leonard Lancaster ‘The Mount’, Granville Road, whose daughter Margaret left the pictures to the History Society’.
