St Margaret's Bay from Ness Point. 1950s
This is a delightful view, one of the Valentine & Sons postcards from the St Margaret’s Series. Taken from The Ness, it looks obliquely into the Bay. On the immediate left is South Sands House and towards the top right, surrounded by trees is The Granville Hotel. It would appear to be from the 1950’s after the new sea defences had been completed, although the new pub, The Green Man has not yet been built, which was in 1957.
