A description of Henry Royce’s work at his cliff top house in St Margaret’s during WW1 where he developed the first Rolls- Royce aero engine, the Eagle engine, which was used in many British aircraft and later powered the first transatlantic flight by Alcock and Brown.
Royce also designed the Hawk and Falcon engines at St Margaret’s.
